Verifier

Struct Verifier

Source
pub struct Verifier<'a> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Verifies one validated metainfo object against a payload root.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<'a> Verifier<'a>

Source

pub fn new(metainfo: &'a Metainfo, payload: impl Into<PathBuf>) -> Self

Creates a verifier using safe default policies.

Source

pub const fn options(self, options: VerifyOptions) -> Self

Replaces verification options.

Source

pub fn cancellation(self, cancellation: CancellationToken) -> Self

Replaces the cancellation token.

Source

pub fn verify(&self, progress: &impl ProgressSink) -> Result<VerificationReport>

Verifies structural and applicable hash domains.

Relative payload roots use the current directory. Expected paths must match actual directory entries exactly and must not cross symlinks. Verification keeps a bounded number of files open and checks saved file identity and state before hashing, after hashing, and before reporting successful verification. These checks do not provide an atomic filesystem snapshot.

§Errors

Returns cancellation, metainfo reparse, or operational filesystem errors.
